He is not full black therefore he's the first mixed president with black in him. Lets get the facts right and not go with whatever was taught a long time ago. Lets not focus on race, it too played out. Lets focus on the fact that he bailed out the bankers and went back on his promises that have to do with personal liberties(patriot act) and signing statements(both unconstitutional).

I agree with tavis Obama needs to adress problems in the black comminity but he avoids them..Just remember people there's always power behind the throne...

The only thing for sure that I heard Tavis Smiley say was the "If President Obama was white..." part. Now let me slowly repeat this to ALL races in America regardless of color. Barack Obama is the first half-black/half-white president of america. What part of Denial ain't just a river in egypt to all of you not understand?

The President (Barack Obama) and his cabinet have betrayed African American( Moors, Hebrew Israelites, Kemetics, Tribe of Shabazz, Seminoles, Baptist, etc) with this new census that is coming! Not one of my cousins, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, etc have ever been identified on any legal documents as "Negro"! What spokesman for black people? Black americans are individuals just like every other so called group in america. we don't need pbama to speak about race because one: Thats not the president job to speak on social matters. And Two , you don't need elected officials to instigate a conversation on race for their are millions of topical conversations on race taken place on youtube and various messageboards on the internet and elsewhere. You really don't need the president to act as moderator
