Me jamming on J.J. Cale's song Rock & Roll Records. Mostly improvised on the F# blues scale. Played on a Fender Squier Strat through one of those tiny 40W Marshall amps.

Recording sucks - it was recorded on a lousy mic. I miced my laptop speakers for the backing track and miced both the speakers and my amp.

One take - no overdubs - so there are some mistakes like open strings being hit. But there you have it.

  • Hello - very nice! Just wondering how you get your tone?

    Thanks

  • Commendable bro, you got the tone down for sure.. Sounds like JJs ol Harmony.

  • You got that JJ attitude captured in my humble opinion

  • Maybe try it without the backing dude? Still, nice work, I guess
