Auf der britischen Insel befindet sich ein Seebad, das alljährlich nicht nur feierwütige Jugendliche anlockt, sondern auch Massen von Straßenbahnfreunden. Es handelt sich um das in der Nähe von Liverpool gelegene Seebad Blackpool. Hier fährt, unmittelbar an der Küste, seit dem Jahr 1885 eine der ältesten elektrischen Straßenbahnen der Welt. Die im Planeinsatz verkehrenden Triebwagen kann man sonst nirgendwo bewundern - sie sind eine Augenweide. Wer diese Fahrzeuge noch nicht gesehen hat, sollte sich beeilen, dies zu tun, denn die Ablösung in Form von modernen Flexity wartet schon. Nur in Blackpool können Sie mit doppelstöckigen Balloon Cars und offenen Boat Cars die Strecke bereisen.

Anlässlich des 125-jährigen Jubiläums der Straßenbahn im Jahr 2010 fanden sich noch viele weitere historische Triebwagen in Blackpool ein, um die zahlreichen Fahrgäste bei schönstem Sommerwetter zu befördern.

Ob Balloon Cars, Twin Cars, Brush Cars oder Centenary Cars, in diesem Film sehen sie alle Triebwagen. Das Highlight kommt dann zu später Stunde. "The Illumination Show", eine Stadt und die Triebwagen im beleuchteten Ausnahmezustand.

On the occasion of the 125 year jubilee of the tram in 2010, many more historical railcars were brought to Blackpool's tram line to transport the many passengers in the beautiful sunshine.
