A friend's dad fell for it and bought a Vic 20. He had a stack of cassette tapes and a detailed notebook containing the contents of each cassette along with the tape counter numbers at which each program started on the tape. He treated it like some high-tech super computer and we kids weren't allowed to go near it. 2 years later I bought a Vic 20 at a garage sale for $10. Complete junk.

You know, we knew they were crap back then, and it still shows. I didn't see a decent computer till about 1994.
