This is an exclusive video preview and tutorial of the new Benefit Smokin Eyes, the sexy eye & brow makeover kit. Its a brilliant set with just about everything you need to create gorgeous smoky eyes with ease. They really thought this out well. Ive seen various smoky eye kits, but I think this one leaves the rest in the dust. It comes with three eye shadows, two brushes, a black liner, Benefits awesome Brow Zings wax, tweezers, and super fabulous, brightening Eye Bright. Smokin Eyes doesnt officially launch until next week, but you can purchase it online now for $36.

I shot this tutorial at one of the lovely Benefit Boutiques here in San Francisco with the very talented makeup artist Joseph Perez who also shares some great tips.

Heres everything Joseph used: * You Rebel Lite (a tinted moisturizer with antioxidants and SPF 15) * Foundation and Concealer Brushes (for smooth, even coverage) * Erase Paste (a creamy, brightening concealer thats especially excellent for under the eyes) * F.Y...Eye Nude Primer (an eye shadow base to make shadow last) * Smokin Eyes * Fluff Eye Shadow Brush (versatile shadow brush) * High Brow (brow lifting pencil) * Some Kind-a Gorgeous ("foundation faker" cream to perfect skin) * Hello Flawless (new powder foundation with SPF 15 with customizable coverage) * Fantail Brush (ideal for a light powder finish) * BADGal Liner Waterproof (their new waterproof extra black liner love it! using this a lot these days) * BADGal Lash (one of Sephora's best-selling mascaras) * Coralista (a golden pinky coral powder-in-a-box thats perfect for spring) * 10 powder (classic powder-in-a-box that highlights and contours in one sweep) * Slant Powder Brush (perfect for blush) * Lipscription (lip scrubber to get rid of yucky, dry skin) * Lip Plump (the classic plumping lip primer) * Silky Finish Lipstick in Sugar Cookie (a nude with a touch of shimmer definitely go nude on lips when working the smoky eye) * California Kissin (smile brightening, breath freshening lip gloss)

  • you shouldve put some foundation or somthing on her face

  • @RoseJack He put foundation on before the video.

  • that looks really great on you :)

question: do you need to put on a eyeshadow primer before using the smoky eyeshadow?

  • Thank you!

You don't "need" to but a primer will definitely help the color last longer without creasing. Hope that helps! xo

  • Beautiful, I have so much of benefits makeup xD

  • I'm sure you'll be excited about the new holiday sets coming out next month. Check back soon for a new video I'll be posting with them. xoxo

  • thats my uncle joseph my grandmas brother

  • could he not find a better model??

  • I think she looks better before he gave s black eyes.

  • at first i was like,, that doesnt look very nice. But then at the end , the look was really nice!! And i love your cheek bones!

  • he was so rough with the q-tip!! he should have never pulled them accross so hard like that!! makes me mad because dragging will create premature sagging, especially around the delicate eye area. big no-no!!

  • wow, you're lookin so fuckin beautiful for your makeup, sonja!

    this is so awesome!

  • SORRY, BUT I DON'T LIKE IT!
