What's surprising to me is that this song is on their first album-- yes with songs like "There's No Other Way". For a long while, I was sure this was something from one of their later albums. And I wouldn't really compare this with Song 2. Song 2 is just a parody. But yeah, this song outmatches a lot of their early stuff.

Hard to believe this is the same band that put out 'No Other Way' and 'Song 2'. Those aren't even bad songs, but Sing is just so much more lush and soulful and all the rest. Like I said, hard to believe, but speaks very well of Blur. And yeah, I'd happily spend a few weeks re-visiting 1996 if it were possible.
