  • you cant get 106 HP with those mods. 90 tops. i have done many dyno runs

  • This bike has almost 90 HP at the crank stock and 100ft/lb stock. Is it really that hard to believe a BAK, Exhaust, AIS and a properly tuned PC can deliver above this??

  • I envy you. This is my dream bike, but it appears I'll be getting the 2009 V-Star 950 due to budget constraints.

  • thanks... I've seen a lot of Warriors go for pretty cheap used. check it out.

  • 90 hp is really the high end with these mods. Torque is what is all about with this bike anyway. I have had several cruisers including a kawasaki vulcan and a HD sportster 1200 custom and a Electra Glide classic touring bike and my Warrior is BY FAR the biggest kick in the pants.

  • sweet bike but theres no way u got 106hp. 106lbs/ft is more likely. you are also not using 2:1 pipes so you dont have the back pressure to boot. just had mine dyno'd after i installed churckey's VBAK, and i have 108lbs/ft and the hp was in the 80's.

  • Swedis were u get that bars?

  • oh did i mention bullshit

  • bullshit

  • @Wishmaster50000 AIS also pumps in fuel-air from the intake manifold. This makes the exhaust continue to burn as it exits the cylinder. Generates heat and back pressure.

  • @madtom421 Well damn. I just got my warrior and was hoping I wouldn't have to go with a big bore kit to get the 100hp mark.

  • Im on the forums I own a warrior I have the vbak, pciii, ais block, bigshots, you will never make 100+ hp without doing engine work. you can barely hit 100hp with head/ cylinder work, cams, ecu ,etc.

  • Im on the forums I own a warrior I have the vbak, pciii, ais block, bigshots, you will never make 100+ hp without doing engine work. If you trying to claim 106 at the wheel your crazy and if your trying to claim 106 at the crank your just stupid.

  • @madtom421 go check out the warrior forum. There's guys making more than that. There's a few Bs'ers but most are legit.

  • @gambietti the better question is, what does it do if you leave it installed. Absolutely nothing. AIS is a system that pumps fresh air into the exhaust to burn yet unburned fuel. This way Yamaha wants to get better emissions. I had to remove it cause of the Power Commander and Autotune Kit. Some people remove it just because it´s useless, some say they get better performance, which i don´t think is possible. Instruction can be found here.
