The Norfolk Arms at Ringinglow, Sheffield, organised a community-based charity event on Sunday 16th August 2009 in aid of Bluebell Wood Hospice, Whirlow Farm Trust & The Shepherd Wheel Project. Bradwells Dairy Ice Cream sponsored the event and Entry was FREE.
The aim was to celebrate & showcase activities families can enjoy together in the 'Great Outdoors'. The Norfolk Arms is perfectly siituated, with stunning views and open countryside all around, to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer.
Families were able to try out rock climbing, bouncy castles, an inflatable assault course, learn how to make puppets, tools and wood carvings and ride on a fire engine. There was mountain biking, a photography competition, an opportunity to learn circus crafts and hopefully have a go at dry stone walling. There was also guided family walks around Limb Valley and The Mayfield Valley, along with a guided family bike ride. JE James ran a Turbo Time Challenge, giving advice on bikes and cycle routes and offering some fantastic raffle prizes.
and the Fair will be returning bigger than ever in June 2010.....
