(Premieres January 18th) Veterinary specialists and biologists perform an autopsy on a large wild animal to uncover the secrets of its anatomy. The series features veterinary scientist Mark Evans, comparative anatomist Joy Reidenberg and evolutionary biologists Richard Dawkins and Simon Watt.
@fight2Bfree how the hell do you think modern day medicine got to where it is? By examining human beings in their living state? By examining these animals not only do we learn so much more about them than we could learn any other way, but what we learn can further our understanding of nature, ourselves, and ultimately how we can help these animals when they get sick and how to prevent it. Would you rather the whale's body just go to waste? Whining about it isn't going to bring it back to life.

I hate this fucking show. It creeps me out how they slice into these beautiful animals and expose the inside like anybody cares about a dead animal being dissected. The beauty of animals is in their living state. This is just plain disgusting.

Brilliant show... already aired here in UK. Joy Reidenberg is amazing. Saw the Rogue baboon episode last night, very interesting.
Whole show is informative, light and yes, a little bit 'gory fluids' but hey you're learning as your watching. A bit like if Stephen Fry and the QI gang did animal autopsy's.
