Indiana Jones Adventure (Disneyland) on piano

Now HERE is a piano performance more in line with what my channel's usually about. The Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland stands as a benchmark of top-quality Imagineering, if you ask me. It's a modern classic, a masterpiece. Nearly everything about it is great, and most people who ride it can attest to that, so I won't bother giving specific examples right now. Except for, that is, the music.

John Williams wrote all four Indiana Jones film scores. When the Disneyland attraction was designed, Richard Bellis was brought in to adapt, arrange, add on to, and re-record music from the first three Indy scores. The result works perfectly with the ride, and even by itself, it's a lot of fun to listen to...and play.

So this is my arrangement of most of the music from the attraction. The video will tell you when I've skipped music, either because of the difficulty of arranging it or because it simply gets a little boring.

You'll notice there are a lot of points when the music pauses or slows or settles on one chord. These are usually transitions between cues in the music; I believe the rerecording was done as a series of individual musical moments that accompany the different scenes.

You'll be hearing some of the same bits of music in other recordings I do, since all of what you hear is adapted in some way from great original John Williams cues. (The only notable exception is the opening fanfare, which Richard Bellis wrote for the "Eye on the Globe" newsreel in the queue.) "The Map Room: Dawn", "The Miracle of the Ark", and "Flight from Peru" are good examples of tracks that were partially adapted for the attraction and that I also play in their original form. Note that tempos and arrangement do change between the different versions, though, and there's typically additional music in one or both versions.

Man I just LOVE piano music espically yours.

I mean it was an F-0 tornado that was pretty much a nothing but it did some minor damage to property but mostly flooding on roads.

LA gets those from time to time during the "stormy years" due to convection from cold fronts unlike the recent few which they are in a continous drought and haven't had a decent cold front in I don't know HOW long.

We were in this ride around Late February of 2000 from Oregon and there was a small tornado reported outside nearby in some neighborhood which we found out later on the news.

Mom didn't go on the ride cause she was scared of those kinds of rides, so she noticed the dark black clouds where the tornado was reported and thought the clouds didn't look right.

I wish I had one of the chamber of destiny doors and one of those 3 mara heads that are above the doors in my house, it would be cool walking to my room and the eyes started to glow and say stuff haha.
