  • i have done my PADI open water but i didnt get the card yet. I was wondering if i can do my advance without the card and then get advanced card already. can it be done?

  • Use breathing to help control your ascent. Signal to ascend, take 2 or 3 breaths then signal OK to ascend. Take a deep breath and hold it slightly until you start ascending then slowly breath out.

This allows the diver to maintain slight positive buoyancy as they ascend. Kicking often confuses divers on how negative/positive buoyant they are and when they stop kicking causes them to descend if they are negatively buoyant. This method assures they are constantly positive.
