@MegaGARFISH Duane did have a Les Paul - he traded it for his first Gretsch because he needed the Bigsby vibrato.

That magic Gretsch twaaaaaaaaaaang!! How history would've been different had Duane bought a hard tail Gibson Les Paul....imagine how poorer music would've been had we been denied the magic combination of Duane Eddy and his Gretsch 6120....I hate to think about it! This track is smiles better than Johnny Cash's song, thanks for posting it.

I gotta look up my family tree.. because my last name is eddy... and my dads name is Dewayne Eddy.. he told me that we might be related to this guy somehow.. he's not sure, though..

Possibly the greatest song ever recorded. To really get a good version of this song, check out the movie, "Ring of Fire" with David Jansen. Duane wrote the theme song and the movie version has more distinct string section, which really adds to the sound.
