Hey there Vance,
I've gotten a bit more confident lately. I've seen my doctor a few times since my operation about it. I shall be doing an update video soon.
I hope you are well. Keep positive.
Thankyou for your support.

@dylandior123 That's not silly at all. After all, a metal detector is a magnet, isn't it? And it's not like we can go get an MRI, now can we? :) Thanks for doing this video. You're a very brave man. Wish I could get up the guts 2 do something like this. Had 6 surgeries earlier this year. And here comes the cold season again 2 remind me of when my shunt failed back in January. We never know when the next 1's gonna fail. I just hope I can make it through this yr without a surgery

Hey there,
Thanks. I feel that there's no point worrying what other people think. That just wastes time. Life's too short.
Before I left hospital, I was prescribed paracetamol and codeine as pain killers, which is a good thing as without them I would've felt a lot of pain during the healing process. During that time I felt as if my head wasn't attached to my body. Very floaty.
How are you getting on?
:)

i had my head shaved (badly) for my shunt op, which I've had for over 4 months now. So I just got my head completely shaved. Before my op i was so conscious of how people perceived me, now i don't give a crap. :D You're really brave with broadcasting about your operation. Did you feel like you where floating for the past few weeks, after the operation? @ Paul Kavanagh my memory has actually improved after the op. Ive been told by the doc that i cant go to theme parks for a few months. thats it

Cool. I'm glad you're ok. Don't worry about baldness. Lots of famous bald men. That Patrick Stewart guy...Sorry, SIR Patrick, lol, went bald at 15 years of age apparently.
I don't wear hats mainly because they either don't fit, etc. My excuse would be that it would mess up my hair lol. I've noticed my hair's going backwards lol.

@dylandior123 All good man.
Hate the scars from the two ops as anyone does [One either side of my head,1 with valve,1 not and 2 on my abdomen,1 from each op].
But apart from that all good.
It took me years not to be concious about my appearence and since i lost my hair at 19[Not sure why,Not genectic] and them being so big scars and bumps i thought fcuk it why worry =0]
Has hydrocephalus stopped anyboy doing anything they wanted to do ?.
Anyones memory like a goldfish ?.

How soon are you able to go back to work after surgery?
MsSunbean 4 months ago
It's difficult to say as everyone is different. It all depends on the person and if they feel in themselves well enough to go back to work.
It is best to check with your doctor. Sorry I couldn't be much help.
