where was this house built ??…

@arbonac because most of the world does not have plumbing, nor wiring the way we have it in the west.
-
This might work in Australia or the southwestern U.S. Most of the English-speaking world has cold winters. That means we need space for a heating-unit and indoor cooking.

@seeqr9 I'm in Calif and would like to know how to get to Hesperia and get one of these. You do have to purchase the land it's on too correct? I'm looking for more economical housing options instead of high Calif rents!

@shovelniron You don't need sand and clay for earthbags. Only if you're building super adobe would you need sand and clay. I agree to a point. It depends on what type of bags you purchase. There are some that are less than others and the second hand bags are really cheap. This house could easily be made for under $1,000.

@thehilitereel I agree but similar earthbag dome homes have been approved in Hesperia, CA

Too many variables probably, because the type of plumbing and electricity depends on the end user. Some people employ a plumber, others cando the whole job themselves so the only cost is materials. Also the capital cost of solar and/or wind power generation is very different in different regions. Some municipalities give grants, others do not. Some allow rebates if grid-connected . . .and the list goes on.

How come none of these natural building method videos never mention plumbing and electricity?

The tune of 300 dollars sounds good to me. I plan to share this video on Google+ in order to start some conversations on the craft of building homes with Earthbags.
Who are you kidding. The steel roof alone costs more than that.

Only problem is there is no big money behind it, such as lumber, which overpowers it instantly with building codes.
