I have travelled in trains in India (growing up), Europe (TGV, Eurostar London-Paris-London), US (Acela from NYC to DC). But nothing compared to the immense pleasure of taking the "Bullet Train". With a nose shaped like a duck or a platypus, the Shinkansen ran to the second on time. The tracks between Tokyo and Osaka were built a very long time ago and only when the new Nozomi N700 Series came into service with a tilt system did the trains travel at 280KMPH on the curves.
