In this accident in Iran you can see that a 405 Peugeot has been hit and totally destroyed by a Cadillac while the American car is almost unscratched!!

The reason the Cadillac is unharmed is because in the old days automakers (Particularly American) made cars with thicker steel, and this lead to a safety problem of the cars not taking enough impact and instead the passengers and drivers took the impact, so today they built cars so that the car takes more impact than the passengers. Whoever says this is fake is an idiot.

the peugeot is better it absorbed the impact, the driver may be alive.

Althought, the cadillac obviously fidn't absorbed a single newton, the driver probably did.

Modern cars have to absorb impacts, the old Cadillac doesn't. In case of shock, your body will be safer in this Peugeot than in the Cadillac, due to the fact that your body have to absorb less energy than in the Cadillac.
