Hey, I've been thinking of starting to record some stuff with my friend. Just for fun, you know, like a hobby. And I was thinking of buying, was it ProTools MP. So will it be enough for recording or do I need anything else? Mics of course but anything else? Please somebody who has experienses reply! Thank you!

Two questions.. if you have a reverb on the AUX channel set to 100% mix (wet) then I don't see how you are going to control the spatial quality. Perhaps I am confusing wet/dry with the mix level?
Second, what is the purpose of dither? Why would I use it, and what are the ramifications if I don't? This is something of a loaded question since I believe dithering take the track from 24-bit to 16. Wouldn't things like an MP3 or AAC encoder do this as well?

@DaveRoscoe1 the spatial quality is set on the reverb itself. predelay and early reflections. You want to set the aux send to 100% wet so that you will not have a double of the dry signal sent to it. Then increasing the level of the send in essence make the signal seem "wetter". But spatially, use the settings in the reverb, or different reverbs themselves. good question.

why didn't you make a stereo aux instead of making 2 mono tracks for reverb and add two times the same plugin for reverb?
