Maybe Lilja aìnt the best fighter,but he is a tough player and never back down. He was the only one in red wings who was willing to fight before Jonathan Ericsson join the wings. And now they has Brad May too.

Lilja is no puncher but can definitely hold his own. Very strong on his skates and can take some punches. That's why you often see him topple his opponent, even if he didn't "win" the fight. Good guy for the Wings, one of the very few that will drop the gloves.
