The tuning in this video, called "Nashville" tuning , or as David Gilmour calls it---"High-strung" tuning, was used several times throughout the recording of "The Wall". It is heard most prominently on "Mother", "Comfortably Numb" and , of course "Hey You". The string guages I use are in the video.....Enjoy!

  • I am trying to learn this right now and the tabbies I have are in standard with capo on third fret. It sounds juss like the song when I play but this way looks sooo much easier =)

  • great sound, great lesson!

  • good job

    thanks

  • well said

  • @LedZeppelin7104 use different gauges its in nashville tuning not standard

  • Will this tuning damage the guitar is the low E is the standard gauge? I get the low E tuned one octave higher than normal and it feels like the bridge is going to snap off and hit me, so I don't dare push the second octave.
