During my 1999 AIDS benefit concert in San Antonio, I included a three-song salute to the music of Johnny Mercer. I have uploaded the tape of the middle song, "Laura," before, and a CD version of "I Thought About You," but I decided to share the entire three-song performance this time, with hopes that you might enjoy seeing it in its entirety. I also was able to enhance the audio track this time around - now that I have learned to better use my computer software! Mercer fans will notice that I made a mistake when I introduced the third number, "Come Rain or Come Shine." I corrected myself at the end. (The song was co-written with Harold Arlen.) As always, thank you for watching and commenting - and for your continued support of my career. MUSICIANS FEATURED HERE: Andrew Langham, piano; Chuck Moses, bass; Steve Glaeser, drums; Mike Berglund, trumpet/flugelhorn. • Am happy to hear and listen to you singing again... have been thinking about your song uploads and wondering why the silence and ooooops! there you go... i got some psychic skills and similar events in the past have proven it... thanks for uploading and sharing.

  • @felixbautista Hi, Felix! Thanks so much! You are very kind. I've been keeping busy here in Texas with a few singing gigs (not enough, though...I need more!) and my PR consulting business, for which I'm trying to find new clients. This bad U.S. economy has me struggling a bit, but I continue to push as much as possible. As always, thank you for listening to my music. And I'm glad you have psychic powers! Please send more my way!!! Best, Ken

  • @bostonblakie Hi there! I love that movie "Midnight" -and I mentioned it at the end of the performance here. I read the book and saw the movie back then - and I remember loving all the Mercer songs that played throughout the film. And "Laura" is just a fabulous classic! Thanks for the kind comment and stay in touch! Best, Ken

  • @SergioVellatti Hi, Sergio! Thank you! I know it's an old tape - nearly 12 years old - but it's fun to share these earlier performances with my You Tube friends. Thanks for watching and commenting! -- Ken

  • @gbllnglbrt Hi, Giballin! You are so nice and I thank you for your very sweet message! I would love to sing in Brazil someday! Perhaps I will be fortunate and be able to do that - and to meet you one day! Many, many thanks! A big hug to you, Ken
