@ChristianArmorOfGod Never is a strong word, while it is better technique not to touch the slide if the thumbs do touch it will generally not affect the performance of the gun. Some guns like a CZ75 or Desert Eagle than you will find very little frame rail. The problem lies when someone is afraid to touch the slide and keeps the hands and thumbs so low that they actually interfere with the trigger operation.

@dwsmith39 Use your left eye and don't fight nature. Turn your head to the right which will align your left eye with the sights.
