The movie was a sequel to the 70s version of Willard. It was about an outcast boy who befriends Willard's biggest rat named Ben.
The boy was attached to the ray as a pet. And nobody would accept that. They tried to take him away and everything! Ben was his only friend. Hence the beautiful love song!
