This video is a response to a video made by "mitebob" who did a great job of building a custom "Bugeye" Sprite and did a great job of documenting his project on the web. Here is a link to his video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3yZta...

  • What motor,controller and batteries?

  • Hi Nigel, The motor is an 8" Advance DC (203-06-4001) and I am currently using nine Trojan 1275 (12V) batteries.

  • Excellant job! The car came out looking great and seems to run like a proverbial cat on a hot tin roof. Props!

  • Thanks for nice comments. I have been driving the car nearly every day since I finished it back in March and I am loving it! I just started on a new conversion project, a 1967 Austin Mini Countryman. It will be my wife's daily commuter car when it is finished.
