This is another gizmo/"artifact" I've built for Halloween. It was originally a "Lightalk". We haven't used it in years, so I spray painted the whole thing gold (originally it was mostly clear so you could see the batteries and circuits inside), except for the scanner, status LED, and controls. I painted around the controls with glow in the dark paint. We'll call that "ectoplasm"—sure, that's it. You can "scan" someone's palm with it, then display one of three pre-scanned results. In this case I've got the alchemy symbol for platinum, the eye of Horus, and Odin's triple horn. We'll have to come up with meanings for them all, so we can tailor the result to the scanned victim... er, volunteer? Perhaps the eye of Horus means Horus is keeping an eye on you; better behave!

  • @glowjr2212 The original Lightalk was sold around 2005. There was a Lightalk II, but I never saw one. We found ours in a box, where it had been sitting for years, and decided to do something new with it. I don't think you can buy them anymore. Google "Lightalk" if you want to try to find one.

  • is this on sale?
