That and Toys for Bob doesnt own the rights to the Star Control name. Everything else is theirs though, hence the Ur-Quan Masters getting released as freeware.

I imagine if a new Star Control game were made it would be called "Ur-quan Masters 2" or something.

But imagine the pure awesomeness that it could be!

They could do it easily (and cheap) if they used the Black Sun engine for space combat. Like Nexus or Sins of a solar empire.

It needs to happen damn it!! Im sick to death of FPS's!! Bring back space combat!!
