After black plays h6, white should play Bxf6. This leaves black's king-side pawn structure in a complete mess. The point of white playing 3.Bg5 is to threaten this very outcome.
I love the Torre Attack. If played well it's more like the Torrid Attack, as I like to call it.

@pelgallagher The capture Bxf6 is a matter of choice and is not a critical position in the game. You are correct that it can wreck Black's kingside pawns but it also opens the g-file for Black's Rooks. I have played Bxf6 in other games and have done well. The Torre has been one of my favorite openings on and off for many years. I like its kingside attacking themes. Thanks for you comments.

i have been using the torre attack for only a few days but i can defeat my opponent already i think the torre attack is the best!!!!!
