Sami's Bat Mitzvah party is what is wrong with American Jewish attitudes today.
It's all about wealth and showing off. The Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a holy tradition morphed into something totally unkosher. Instead of spending the million dollars on Sami's party, why didn't they just have a small party at her synagogue and take the money and give it to the poor.

Estoy de acuerdo con el comentario de @skippodog, fue todo orientado hacia los gustos y idiosincracia de un universo adolescente, de una chica, que tiene de malo?, aparte si los padres tienen la plata para hacerlo y ese es su deseo, que lo hagan asi, cada uno a su momento adecuado lo hara a la manera que mejor le plazca, sea judio, catolico y musulman.

Many of these posts are tantamount to graffiti. If someone spray painted graffiti on the front of your home... would you clean it off or leave it there?
Use a little common sense. Eliminate the ability to post comments completely or police the site for comments more judicially. Save us all from having "poster children" ruin a well done presentation!

@Skippodog She had a bat mitzvah, not a bar mitzvah. While very similar, bat mitzvahs are for girls, while bar mitzvahs are for boys. Despite the materialism, nothing was wrong here.

@skippodog she had a bat mitzvah not a bar mitzvah. If you know anything bat with a t means a daughter or girl and bar is a son or boy. Bat mitzvahs are an act of celebrating the fact that you no take on the responsibility of a Jewish adult. Bring your nasty comments elsewhere.
