I 100% agree with you! I see so many people being issued disabled parking cards because they are just 'old' they can still walk around town all day unaided though! I would also like to see some disabled spaces for wheelchair users only.

I'm a chair user. One time I waited next to this car that took a handicap spot next to the ramp that went into the store. it was the only ramp in so I was blocked out. When the woman came out of the store I told her I hope she didn't have too much trouble walking in. In a very snotty voice and a look to go with it she said "sorry" then got in her car and drove off.

In the USA if anyone blocks access to a handicap parking spot you simply call the police and they'll respond and cite the driver of that vehicle. And if they cannot be located the offending vehicle it TOWED right then and there. End of story.

Unfortunately, this does not address the issue of morons who use handicap placards merely as a means of getting more favorable parking. These low-life's will "borrow" a placard from a friend, family, or even one that belonged to a deceased person

@sweety117 i am very badly disabled but do not use a wheelchair . if you make wheelchair only bays it makes even less bays for people like me to park in . a wheelchair is not a good indication of how badly disabled a person is . i could put my old dad in a chair and use that bay , what good would that do ? its more complicated than it looks

It is so frustrating when you have to use an aid in order to walk from your car to the store. People do not understand. I too have had to circle the parking lot in order to wait for a handicap parking spot to become free.
