MPR News: March starts peacefully, ends in violence

On September 2nd, "March for Our Lives" attendees marched along their approved parade route from Mears Park to the State Capitol. When they arrived, they were met by people who had attended an impromptu concert. The concertgoers followed the group toward the Xcel Center where the Republican National Convention was in session. By the time the march reached the intersection of 7th and Cedar Street, the groups had become intermixed and police had been alerted.

Yeah, you tell yourself that, friend. When the police come after you...you will change your mind. By then, however, it may be too late. And, btw, these people did have permits, and they couldn't leave the streets. The riot squads cut off all the roads, so there was no escape. This was a setup for a beatdown, and it's a very old trick.
