SUBSCRIBE TO EXCELLENT WORLD WAR II ERA AND POST ERA FILMS AND DOCUMENTARIES. UPDATED WEEKLEY

"The Nazis Strike," Chapter II of Frank Capra's "Why We Fight" series,
summarizes Adolph Hitler's plan for world conquest and Germany's full
scale preparation in pursuit of this end. While the Nazis plead poverty
and pacifism, they spend incredible amounts of money to prepare a war
machine of unparalleled strength and destructive capability. While
Hitler assures the other leaders of the world he has no interest in
promoting National Socialism, he begins "softening up" future target
nations by sponsoring local Nazi organizations in other countries. The
film explains that the key to Germany's world conquest is the occupation
of central Russia, a heartland rich in natural resources. Hitler begins
his march in this direction by annexing Austria and part of
Czechoslovakia. With these new territories, he now possesses a massive
front against Poland, which he invades and conquers within three weeks.
After the invasion of Poland, Britain and France declare war on Germany,
which then signs a non-aggression pact with the Soviets so Hitler can re-focus his
energy against his enemies to the west.

  • You have to remember that this was a propaganda film for the armed forces. Germans and Nazis are NOT the same. I am an American from German decent and have many relatives in Germany. It would be equating Americans are the same as the President of the United States. Wake up! People are diversified in their views no matter what country they live in!

  • Yes it is propaganda. You have to keep this in mind while viewing the entire series.

  • Stylianos75---You have your head up your arse.

  • @2bn442RCT hmm....

  • @sutton123454 so you do like war? find the video called "first kill" and take a look at the kind of people who like war

  • @JBnotthescotch i like, i love to see how it can bring out the best in people as well as the worst, it's very fascinating as a human that one can do things that seem so out of the ordinary in human perspective, to me war is as natural to human nature as breathing, since it's been around for so long it's in our blood, people feed off hate and love, that we can do things we would normally never do in our right mind. War can bring people to their knee's and some to the sky's.

  • @JBnotthescotch i'm fond of it in a humankind way, not the kind where people die and countries destroyed, i like to see what drives this in people, to make another suffer for another's cause, it's very interesting to me. I'm completely against illegal wars and the suffering of others but i'm in full support if the war is just, like fighting for freedom as ww2 was for many people, my family's members fought for long and hard to bring freedom to people they didn't know. It's the spirit of war

  • @sutton123454 if you are fond of war, then you really don't know your object of study

  • @JBnotthescotch War is one of the most interesting things in the world, it's been around ever since man walked the earth, so ofcourse i'm fond of war but i do not like war or what it does to people. I'm just a historian so i'm not to worried about what people think.

  • @sutton123454 It is well that war is so terrible - otherwise we would grow too fond of it.

    Robert E. Lee

    You are fond of war.

  • @JBnotthescotch I'm not supporting anyone? i support rommel cause of his smarts on the battle field and hating hitler and what he stood for.

  • @sutton123454 So, you probably know that Rommel was killed by the very people you are supporting.

  • @JBnotthescotch Funny thing though, they won't find me dumb, i've probably read more ww2 books them people will in their lifetimes, i'm high on knowledge when it comes to war. My hero is Erwin Rommel, cause he didn't believe in nazism and made people's days a living hell who fought against him when he was always outnumbered and outgunned
