I had arthroscopic knee surgery with Dr. Elliot Hershman on 4/16/09 at the Manhtattan Eye, Ear & Throat (Lenox Hill) Hospital . Everything went remarkably well and the team of people involved was excellent, personable and efficient. When I awoke in the recovery room at 9:33 AM, the tune and lyrics for this song came to me instantly. I had been struggling for the previous week to find enough words that rhymed with "meniscus" but several suggestions from friends were very helpful. I asked a nurse in the recovery room for paper and wrote the lyrics as quickly as I could get them out of my head. The nurse loved it and called several other nurses over to listen. One nurse asked that I create a lyric for Dr. Opperman (anesthesiologist) since "he is the chief" and she did not want him left out. I promised one nurse that I would have it on YouTube within a week.

p.s. the only negative was that Dr. Hershman said there was a lot of arthritis, so maybe I will be back in the next 33 years to get a knee replacement (and write another song) ... it remains to be seen if I can easily put on my left sock and if my knee discomfort is related to the torn meniscus or the arthritis
p.p.s. the soundtrack was done by DT from Cisco/Atlanta who created it for my Jack Bauer song at http://www.summercore.com/music/jackbauer.html
Great video especially the part about the anesthesiologist. Jay-Z look out!
