Humvee Traffic Driving in Baghdad

It's a difficult balance, soldiers have danger all about and yet they're moving around civilians - women and children. Roughing them up ,even by mistake can only lead to animosity. These are the people who need to be protected and nurtured if we are to make any sense in Iraq. We need to win hearts and minds if we are going to safe lives..

@redden1000 They have to drive like that to avoid IEDs in cars. Plus they are much safer drivers then most of the Arabs. XD

Moreover, an ambush isn't just going to result in American deaths. More than likely the attackers will kill any Iraqi citizens who happen to be near the Americans so as well. So in the end, it's really for everyone's safety. Traffic must keep moving or the convoy becomes an incredibly attractive target.
