The Link Wray Tribute held in Cleveland at the Beachland Ballroom was sensational! Guests included the Top Cats, Wraygun, Link Wrays Raymen as well as Stuck in Gear featuring Links grandson Chris Webb on guitar shown here with Gary Smalls (NAMMY award winner) on bass and Jason Kay on drums. The parties at "inductlinkwray.com" have spared no expense to get the word out that Link Wray deserves to be in the Rock~n~Roll Hall of Fame. Wrays contributions include the invention of distortion and the first Power Chord to be used in the Rock genre. When Doo Wop was hot Link was grinding out instrumentals that would be considered todays norm.
