I believe I am grandson from Vincenzo Fioravanti who played at the D Pedro Theater in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil in 1870 and earned a land in Rio Grande do Sul and after that he went back to Napoles where died few later. In this same time, Vincenzo's brother bought a land in Uruguai where he died. The Vicenzo's Brazilian family is the only one that was not of immigrants. If anyone knows it better, please tell me.

I have a complete recording of I VIRTUOSI AMBULANTI on the Bongiovanni label and is the critical edition. This aria does not exist in that recording. Can anyone shed some light on this? I was disappointed that the aria wasn't included since it is so gorgeous!

For me at least having only the piano as accompaniment takes a lot away. These operas were accompanied by orchestra originally and the orchestra provides a lot more tone color than a piano. Still I guess it is better than nothing, and one can hope companies like opera-rara and bongiovanni continue their work.
Apart from the piano only fuss, it is a nice Rossinian sounding piece that would not be totally out of place in a Rossini Opera.
