I really got the impression that this was James Taylor trying to be more like Tom Waits, and failing. Quite lame.

Thank you for posting this, I love it! I would love to hear JT live, not only for his wonderful music, but for his keen wit and sense of irony.

2Fast4U0921, of course this isn't a "drum machine" such as you refer to. Gee, how do I describe it? Sort like a joke, if you have to explain it, it isn't funny. Parody is not quite right, neither is satire, but that is the closest I can come to in describing this. How about "tongue in cheek"? *sigh* Still not quite right.
