My fiancee just left to go to afghanistan in January, we had only been engaged a week before he left. He made my cousin, who is his best friend, promise to always visit his dad, kiss his mom before she lays her head down at night, to always hold his head high no matter what, and to make sure I'm always happy and never shed a tear over him if he doesn't make it back. My cousin is fighting in Afghanistan- USMC. One of his buddies died over there. This song makes me think of his friend, and it also makes me pray it never has to be said about him. For those of you who have lost loved ones- I know it's hard, but God had a plan .Thank you to all of those who serve. God bless you.
