Nathan: {I sighed as I walked over to my bike, wishing Lauren would have accepted the ridebut then again why would she with me? Whatever it didnt matter. I had better places to go then hang out with her} (Gets on his bike and drives to a house) {As I parked my bike I looked around like I always did, making sure no one was around then slowly walked up to the door} (Knocks)
Ms. Smith (Opens the door smiles) Nathan I thought you werent coming today
Nathan (returns the smile) Change of plans, so the cars not working again?
Ms. Smith: Afraid notI swear anything mechanical hates me
Nathan: (Chuckles) Well Ill look at it, see what the problem is

Nathan: No Problem {I walked to her back gate where the car was. She was like the grandma I never hadwell what I wish my grandma was like, all I heard from my real one was in lettersshe seemed okay. Ms Smith: (Comes out to where Nathan is working) Heres some water

Nathan: I cant like her! Not with my friends knowing, its not like she would feel the same about me, I mean come on, the school bad as- (Sees the look shes giving him) boy and the preachers daughter
Ms. Smith: Are they really your friends then? Think about it Nathan, youre almost done with High School, are you still going to keep up this act afteror are you finally going to be who you really are. You need to figure out who you really are, the guy with you are friends, or the guy youre with her
Nathan: (Sighs knowing shes right) II should probably finish with your carthen get to the lawn
Ms. Smith: Alright sweetheart (Starts to stand up) When your done, can you go by the store for me, take the car make sure it runs

Nathan: {Her words were still on my mindmy only problem was I didnt know who I was, I like who I am around my friends, but I like the other me tooI was driving towards the store, my thoughts locked on Lauren when I saw her: a brown haired girl pinned against an ally wall.
