@LordAntonis Why be hateful to westerners and "Americans?" Have you listened to someone most hold in high regard, HH Dalai Lama? The most important thing is love and compassion. Traditions are for teaching and discipline. Perhaps what we do in "America" is explore more ways of understanding and bring the best features together. Why is that so offensive to you?

I am profoundly sad at the America I see as I seek enlightenment. I have known form a child that Americans have become a soulless, greedy bunch of thieves, lacking the human decency of Nazi war criminals. There are still those among us that refuse to lose our soul, but we are viciously punished . It is pointless trying to get any of the rest of them to understand. Best wishes with your journey

@butterflygris While the idea behind Namaste that you present here is certainly wonderful, Westerners, especially Americans, tend to latch onto the cultures of others, seeking insight yet picking and choosing, ignoring what they don't like, and then explaining someone else's tradition in a way that isn't accurate to the people from whome it came. Then they end up telling those very people that it is "they" who do not understand. This is why america is such a joke to the rest of the world.
