@abegetsbuckwild It's called a Pinch Harmonic, where your thumb slightly touches the string to create a "squealie" soun...go to /watch?v=5I5O8P-r5Rk , explains how its done :)

you play this clean, but d00d, thems is downpicking on the low E, or C or whatever its tuned to. Learn that technique, way cooler.
