why on earth would you spend all that money on doing internals on an original N/A motor instead of just swapping in a GTE?

What's a rough estimate on how much a bone stock IS300 motor can handle, I am thinking about grabbing one

I've been out of the IS scene for about 2/3 years now but from what I can recall the trans would be the first thing to go at around 350-400rwhp.
