@MommaMagyar bowie only really 'lifted' from his friend bolan in a complimentary kind of way...he used bolanesque vocals on genius songs like 'black country rock' and 'width of a circle' - in ironic tribute to bolan. he was hardly likely to steal from bolan when he'd just written 'hunky dory'...he was just waiting his turn. a few years later bolan was begging bowie for a new material. marc had run out of songs by late 73. bowie was just beginning.

He influenced so many people! Listen to Cosmic Dancer and tell me Bowie didn't "lift" a major portion ! Bolan was so far ahead of his time, so original, he still sounds contemporary today ( listen to The Slider). He is greatly missed-

I own a massive T Rex collection thru the years. It saddened me when Mark passed. One of the influencial Bands that gave birth to the so called hair metal of the eighties. Mark was one of a kind!
