With the miraculously nice spring weather (it's a been a long time coming, I assure you) popping up, I decided to take a nice, leisurely drive through the area where I live. Come with me on a random, scenic tour of beautiful southern Hokkaido, Japan!

  • Niece video I guess one can feel like he or she was in the US in some parts of hokkaido.

  • @Oty3d Hokkaido has a very diverse terrain. It's one of the many reasons I love it here so much.

  • Nice vid Jenn...keep them coming....cows casualy grazing at the side of the road..reminds me of home!

  • @dellicaman I love the cows. I love living in the countryside where I can see them ^O^

  • What a fun video! Great editing and effects! Music adds that special touch and your splendid comments and stories round the experience out so nicely. And yes, if softy was there he would indeed touch the airplane. I want to run and jump in the ocean now! You are a natural vlogger and storyteller! Thank you for sharing! Nice ending! ~Kurt :-)

  • @SoftyBalloon I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Getting compliments from you is high praise indeed! I appreciate the encouragement very much. I love stories! It's definitely the literature major in my coming out! Let's journey around together!

  • Im from Hokkaido but from usa, if that makes sense, and I know what you mean. Hokkaido is in the upper part of japan and Its really cool to live in the city parts like Kanagawa and Tokyo but then its nice to be in the open lands of Hokkaido.

  • @ very random things. Stairs that lead to no where and a plane in the park. Those looked like fuel tanks rather than missiles. Still even more random for a kiddy park… LOL!!

Very cute when you drove by the Moo, Moo's LOL!!! Now Im very much looking forward to a winter edition of the Hokkaido Highway. My friend used to live up there somewhere as a teacher. She has tons of photos of all the Ice festivals. Looks soo fun! Plus with Ozzy moving out there. Its going to be good times!

  • What a lovely beach!

Is this Pacific side or Okhotsk side?

Thank you for the nice relaxing video! ; )

  • Gotta love the ocean...they made those stairs all the way up, coz when you climb a mountain, the pinacle of the experience is to get to the top ; )...the kids can play with those missiles, with their imagination. Probably imagine getting their own back on the pesky Nth Koreans firing missiles a little to close every now & again. I think you probably need a better SD card, I think yours might have a little C with the number 4. Motion'll be smoother with at least a 6, preferably a C10 (Sandisk).

  • (。◕‿◕。) you're beautiful

  • LoL, those missils are in case Godzilla comes to visit that park. =)

  • I just saw your video for the first time. LOVED IT! I heard about you from Gimmeaflakeman. Thanks for posting!!

  • Cute American girl goes for a ride alone in the country (in the middle of nowhere) to make some videos...sounds like the start of a scary movie. :P Great job editing the video. You, the serene music and landscape paired very well together. It made for a nice introduction video (Gimmeaflakeman sent me over). Subscribed. :D

  • Thank you for the video, it was really beautiful. I used to fell the same way about Hokkaido, that it wasn't Japan proper etc., but then i would just take the bus to Jozenkei, lay down in the onsen & just gaze at the beautiful winter scenery. At those moments it all made sense, it really is Japan.

  • Lovely video. I always enjoy jvloggers outside videos the most because it makes me feel like I'm back in Japan. Just got back from a 3 week trip to Tokyo and am already starting to miss it. Never been to Hokkaido although I have visited Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. It might be a good idea for you to do some touring of the big name cities if you feel your not getting the full Japan experience. I'm sure it will make you appreciate Hokkaido even more when you get back from traveling.
