This was filmed in July of 2007 in the Galapagos islands. The Albatross has a most complex breeding dance to select the correct mate. These birds bond for life with one mate so the selection is quite important.They also lay one egg per season.

Point to be made though is yes, they court and care for only one mate through life, however still fornicate with others.

Albatrosses, polecats and humans are the few species to share this similar view on mating =)
