Strat: good for blues country and smooth clean rock. Tele: good for country. Les Paul good for hard rock and smooth rock. PRS: good for paperweight!!!!!!!!!

Fender for blues and country (Jimmy Clapton). Gibson for a bad ass sounding dirty rock (Skynyrd, led zep) Anything else no thanks...

These guitar vs guitar vids are interesting, but really not conclusive. It all depends on the voicing and effects desired. I've heard David Gilmore use both a strat and a LP on Comfortably Numb and Shine on you crazy Diamond, and the strat sounds far better and more versatile for the sound he's aiming to achieve. Just one example...

I find it funny that all the guitars here other than the PRS are well over $1000, where the PRS is around $400-$500. It still held up though. Imagine if he had used a PRS CU24.

I now have a PRS CE22 - which you can see in my other videos. Eventually I will update this video and include the new PRS.
