"Balloon Boy": Uncut video of the liftoff - Real or staged?

This raw (apart from deleted profanities) home video, released to media by the Heene family of Fort Collins, Colorado, shows the departure of their homemade helium balloon craft (purportedly containing six-year-old Falcon, who actually was hiding in the family's home).

Does this footage depict a genuine accident, or was this event staged as part of an elaborate hoax / publicity stunt? You decide.
