You, a liberal talk show commentator on MSNBC, who's aired a plethora of shows about Bush's foreign policy and war on terrorism and about gitmo? you don't know much about the unconstitutional detention of americans by the president and why the Obama administration is fighting to keep that legal? wow man, you really show ur true colors here in this interview thats for sure.

Exactly. I'm a high school teacher and I know all about the NDAA and Hedges v Obama (and so do my students now, whether they wanted to or not). I'm betting you don't make your living reporting on US policy either, supermariofj. I'm convinced there's been a serious word in the press's ear by -- well, who knows who? Even The Nation has not and will not mention NDAA. I've been trying to get the word out by leaving comments on Harlem Shake videos--I bet I have more readers than The Nation now!

Lawrence O'Donnell apparently doesn't know anything about.. well.. anything. But guys, he's a newscaster betting that the online community's 'reduced attention span' will fall against his incredible vamping skills... I'll listen to you piddle Lawrence. I really do like hearing how little "informed journalists" know. :)

I don't know why people in the comment thread are being so critical of Lawrence O'Donnell. He did what I wish more journalists/reporters would do when asked about something they don't know - recuse themselves from making statements or giving opinions. O'Donnell does not consider himself an 'expert' on the issue of NDAA, but I'll bet he still knows much more than many other commentators who run their mouths on the subject. I also give him credit for being candid and conceding on the point.

I look at the rest of the comments and then compare mine to yours and imho I sound like the democrat party hack "atleast Lawrence O'donnel will talk to them" yes they are all full of shit but getting these people who think they are the power brokers/thinkers of the media to respond to the independent media is a first step so I'm not willing to shit on the ones who will engage even if it's only cause they believe they are oratory masters!!!
