Why is everyone so excited about the video mode? really its a DSLR, POintless I dont get it. Is that why these are not in stock anywhere cause everyone wants a video camera????

@LooperNor My mistake. Misread 'season finale'. I thought it meant the final season but it actually means the seasons final ep.

@RockinMarcus85 You do realize an episode of House MD was shot on one of these right? Why is video pointless on DSLRs anyways? The image sensor is really huge compared to similarly priced camcorders, and the images look amazing if you know how to shoot properly.
That said, it's only video for experienced film makers and such, not for filming your moms wedding, or a birthday party.

@RockinMarcus85 Because one thing is that the 5D Mark II has a full frame sensor so you get shallow depth of field like a movie effect, variety of lenses to switch whereas video cameras have built in ones, you can change ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed, it isn't SO HUGE AND FAT!

that camera looks amazing. how do you feel about the fact that it doesnt have a built in flash unit? do you really need to have a flash to take good pictures on a dslr?

I also have a Canon 30d with a built in flash and have never used it. If you want a good picture, you're going to use a real flash.
