This show played in Disneyland's Carnation Plaza from May through October 1992. The name later changed to "Goofy Toons Up". I guess it was a semi-test to see if a Mickey's Toontown would appeal to guests.

Anyways, Roger Rabbit has a gym and he's working on a new invention. Goofy is selected to get a free complete toon-up makeover.

I guess it kinda has a similar feel to that Buzz Lightyear: Calling All Space Scouts show.

I didn't tape this, my dad did :D

  • Hey! That's me!!! I'm Gertie LOL I have never seen this before and it cracks me up!!! It was in 1992. It was a blast to do:)

  • SWEET! Glad you found this. What else have you done at Disneyland? Personally, I wish they had something like this for Mickey's Toontown.

  • how did you get all this stuff

  • My dad recorded this and many other Disneyland stuff back when I was a little kid.

  • Rogers Tune up reminds me of Rent

  • How so?

  • I wish Disney would still use Roger Rabbit more often, but I guess there would always be those issues with Spielberg about who really owned the character.

  • I agree. I also wish they'd put the Roger Rabbit Ride in Disneyworld too.

  • I don't believe they don't have things like this with Roger anymore.

  • This is fricking Scary

  • This is awesome. I didnt know about it and I REALLY wish I had been there: I'm a huge long-time Roger Rabbit fan, and at that time, I would have been 11. I'd have loved it.

  • @Vaughnblondetail That would be awesome.

  • @singinmamato2monkeys LOL You guys were great: that whole song routine alone looked beyond fun!

  • I wonder if Roger's ever gonna make it to Kingdom Hearts...

  • @CN90s: He only owns half of Roger Rabbit. The other half is owned by Disney. If Disney wants to do something with Roger, they need to get Spielberg's OK

  • yes I agree, because he's edgier than the other characters! I wathced Who Framed Roger Rabbit on DVD again last night, and it's still such a kicking concept, 'cartoon noir' or something, there with Bob Hoskins and Christopher Lloyd, and the Disney & WB character team-up. And the other cool thing was that toons were conceived in it as part of the landscape of reality, including their own peculiarities. Such a quality film.

  • you're a true legends monkey.
