  • you know a car is a monster when Tsuchiya's body tenses up as he accelerates out.

  • @MMProductionsinc

At the time Honda delivered engines to the McLaren Formula 1 team, and they won 8 titles in 4 seasons (1988-1989-1990-1991) with them, so it made sense.

Some say the reason Honda didn't want to build the engine for the F1 is because they didn't like the idea that it wouldn't be a Honda car (like the NSX which Gordon Murray himself respects a lot)

GordonMurray did however also have experience with BMW in Formula 1 in his Brabham days (the 1983 champion car)

  • @Shaticks Ive got a 500000000000000AU dick. Trust me LOL

  • lol that guy in the top comments thinks hes intentionally double clutching to go faster. What a fag.

  • is this DK?

  • Its neither here nor there if a bloody skyline or a escort or anything is so called faster in anyway, the McLaren F1 is simply one of the most advanced and fastest cars of all time.. EVER...

The engine is a master piece NO TURBO needed!! Just sweet sweet atmo BMW V12 goodness, Although Gordon Murray did actually want a Honda built V12 but the Japs wouldn't build it for him..

  • @rvind92g the gtr was built by a few japanese for 80 grand. the f1 is a million pounds and built by an f1 raceteam

  • @rvind92g so whats your point then?

  • @MrBusunglueck No it doesn't just sound that easy. The GTR has a host of electronics, traction control and 4WD which is a really big advantage to going around corners. This video is from the late 90s, tires, fuel, mechanicals and technology have advanced since then. The McLaren F1 does the quarter mile in 11 secs flat, the GTR take 11.2 secs. Any further than that, the GTR would just vanish away. Look, the F1 is built for the straights and GTR is built for the corners.

  • ..this track is way to small and tight for the F1 to stretch its legs..don't mention skylines in the same breath as the McDaddy. Show some fucking respect kids.
