Wow Nintendo has a bad camera replay. AT the end of each lap, It looks like you cut film out at that point.(I"m not saying this is a lie, Just pointing out Nintendos handy work.)

@MrCoolguyHD Acually, I recently found out you don't need a shroom to pull this off! You just need a drift boost.

there's a shortcut after where the road splits into 2 pieces by a rock, you have to use a shroom on the small ramp to get on a black sort of collapsed wall in the lava where you can trick off, im not sure it is faster, but it looks cool!

Incredible Time but i saw some mistakes too... I think you can get under 2:00 easily if you train more ;)
